Life long education

There are many community benefits to providing economical life long eduction.

Life long education has many benefits to the individual and to the community. Continued learning possibly reduces the likelihood or chance of older students developing dementia. However, the cost of taking university courses, or even individual subjects of interest, is prohibitive for most full fee paying ‘older students’. With many universities providing online subjects, the incremental cost of adding students should be nominal. The opportunity for ‘older students’ should be explored. There would likely be benefits for all students participating in the subject or course, as they could learn and grow from each others’ experiences and backgrounds.

It’s a real shame we don’t make the most of the many opportunities to improve peoples lives today. Like most things, it can all seem too difficult.
